Grant Funding from DSIT for Employee AI Training

AI training for employees

To support businesses and workers to harness these benefits, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) is piloting a flexible AI upskilling fund to support SMEs to deliver AI training to their employees. This initial pilot will only be available to SMEs in the Professional and Business Services sector.

The pilot opened for applications on 1 May 2024 and £6.4m of grant funding is available. Eligible businesses are invited to apply for funding to cover up to 50% of the cost of upskilling employees in AI. Funding can be put towards many different types of training, as suits an applicant’s business need. There is no minimum value for an application, which mean a business could claim anywhere from £1-10,000, depending on its size. The applications window has recently been extended and is now open until 18 August 2024.

This applies to all SME’s including your clients.
