Yesterday, HMRC picked up a new VAT email scam associated with a QR code. They have posted warnings about it on social/digital media.

We have been advised of a an upcoming system outage at HMRC this coming Saturday, 27th April for four hours. This will affect all income tax services.

For those who may have missed our previous announcement, this Friday, 26 April (2pm-2:45pm), HMRC will be hosting a live online session where you can find out more about how to take part in testing of the Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax service in 2024/25 and what’s involved.

Presenting the session will be HMRC’s Customer Strategy and Tax Design Group Director General, Jonathan Athow, Making Tax Digital Director, Craig Ogilvie and Strategic Change Deputy Director, Jennifer Staves.
