Membership Criteria

We strive to keep membership open and accessible to as many accountancy professionals as possible. That’s why we only ask that applicants meet one of the following criteria:

  1.  Have reasonable experience working in an accounting or taxation role at a partner or manager level within a practice;
  2.  Hold a valid practice certificate or license from one of the following recognised organisations:
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland (ICAS)
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT)
  • Association of International Accountants (AIA)
  • Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA)
  • Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)
  • Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT)
  • Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB)

If you don’t currently meet these requirements but have relevant experience, we still encourage you to apply. Simply complete the membership application with details of your background, and we will be happy to review your eligibility on an individual basis.
