Major outages for IT systems causing chaos for commuters, holidaymakers, healthcare, banks and payments systems world wide. Opportunist cyber criminals must have watched with glee awaiting their turn to exploit what follows.
Hackers have had the opportunity to use phishing techniques to lure their victims into clicking or downloading patches to gain illegal access to company / business-sensitive data. Be careful of fake emails, calls and websites pretending to offer support.
